Locust and Evergreen Streets, West Ashley / Mapquest

Two men were wounded in a West Ashley shooting Monday morning at the intersection of Evergreen and Locust Streets. Both men were transported to MUSC with non-life threatening injuries, according to Charleston Police spokesperson, Charles Francis.

The two people were shot in the intersection. Police received a call reporting the incident at 11:07 a.m. Police are still searching for answers as to whether a vehicle was involved. Investigators are interviewing eye-witnesses and residents of the area.


Update:
Multiple police cars and ambulances were on the scene. Witnesses told police that four or five gunshots were heard. A black car was seen speeding away from the scene. Police are still searching for details on vehicle and suspects.
