Police are investigating the shooting death of a 21-year-old man found in Loris, S.C. late Wednesday afternoon. The body of Dashadre Jacorey Sampson of Myrtle Beach was found under a covered area near Bennett Loop outside of Loris.
Authorities are investigating the shooting death as a possible homicide. Police believe that Sampson was shot somewhere else and moved to the covered area. According to Lt. Robert Kegler of Horry County Police, Major Crimes Detectives are investigating the death.
The police were notified of the body by an anonymous tip that was called in around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, according to Lt. Anthony McCullough of Horry County Police. Detectives are working to identify potential suspects and ask that anyone with information on the crime ball 915-TIPS.
Horry County Deputy Coroner, Tony Hendrick identified the body and will conduct an autopsy on Friday to determine the cause of death.
